Q. Who benefits from this program?

A. The common group trait is a desire to learn about their bodies and themselves. They are beyond the weight-loss games. A weight-loss desire exists yet they want to rid themselves of the “on-track”/”off-track” mentality by understanding what derails them. This program doesn’t work for those looking to drop 20 pounds in a month, and those that are anorexic or purging. In general, my clients (private and in-group) are looking to lose zero to 50 pounds.

Q. What if I have to miss a week?

A. Once the group begins, everyone realizes how incredible each session is and rearranges their schedules to make this group a priority. However, life does happen. I will audio record a missed session. The group dynamic and discussion is one of the most valuable aspects of the group. 

Q. What if I don’t know my schedule? I enroll and then have to cancel.

A. Because of the planning of this event, your money cannot be refunded. However, you are more than welcome to transfer your enrollment to a friend. Or, if there are people on the waiting list, you will be connected with them.

I've struggled with eating (too much, too little) and weight for a long time; Ali's description of her journey resonated with me. Her whole approach was something I had not seen- I was very curious/excited to check it out.

I gained a LOT of insight into my eating patterns, daily habits and how I was allowing or creating negative energy in my life that I was trying to eat my way out of. The group support was wonderful (I miss our calls already) and we all really connected and were able to learn from one another. This sharing and the workbook questions helped me the most.

The questions you raise (which goes along with your approach) were excellent at making me analyze parts of my thought process that I had never questioned and beliefs that I hadn't even realized I was living by.  I always knew I was an emotional eater but this program helped me see how that manifested in my life and why. And the program was then able to support me in taking corrective action.

I enrolled in Truce with Food to have a healthy relationship with food and take the stress out of eating. Through the program, I benefitted by understanding how the right breakfast sets you up for the rest of the day, what real hunger feels like, and what cravings mean and how to rearrange the rest of your life to take care of most of those cravings.

The workbook was the most valuable because it was concise, easy to use, and it worked. This really is a great program, I can't believe the progress I've made in the past few weeks compared to 10+ years of unnecessary dieting. It's great how it can help people with different issues (overeating, overexercising, over analyzing, or people who need more nutritional guidance and portion control) using the relatively the same method. On the other hand, there was no one size fits all approach (different breakfasts work for different people, etc.) and that was welcomed.
